Kratos might possibly be the angriest game character ever created. We all know he accidently killed his wife and child in service to the gods, but his belligerent attitude has often made me wonder what else might have happened to him to make him so filled with rage. We get some insight into this in God of War: Ghost of Sparta, which does a wonderful job adding depth to Kratos' character while delivering one of the most fun and beautiful gameplay experiences on the PSP.
Set between God of War and God of War II, Ghost of Sparta picks up right at the end of God of War, with Kratos sitting upon his newly claimed throne looking appropriately grumpy. After all, becoming a god didn't remove the disturbing memories of his past, but now he's being plagued by a vision we've never seen before -- an old woman lying sick on a slab of stone. Convinced he can actually change this vision, Kratos sets off for Atlantis on a quest that eventually takes him back to his home of Sparta and into the realm of Thanatos, god of death.

PSP GAME DOWNLOAD: Bust-A-Move Ghost

If you've played a Bust-A-Move game before you'll know what the game is basically about. As always you use your launcher to fire a coloured bubble at a cluster of different coloured hanging bubbles. Connecting three or more of the same colour bubbles results in those bubbles disappearing. The idea is to remove all of the bubbles before the hanging bubbles descend to cross the deadline. Aside from the normal coloured bubbles there are also several special bubbles such as the Rainbow Bubble, Star Bubble and Bowling Ball Bubble that can all have a huge impact. Fired bubbles can be bounced off the walls of the field and a dotted line emanating from the launcher can help you set up fancy shots. Bust-A-Move is a simple game but it's an addictive one and as you progress through the many puzzles the game has to offer, you'll find yourself becoming more challenged and more and more addicted.
Without a doubt the biggest plus with Bust-A-Move Ghost is the sheer amount of game modes on offer. In total there are eight single-player modes and these are Classic Puzzle, Blind Puzzle, Seesaw Puzzle, Shot Puzzle, Running Launcher Puzzle, Time Warp Puzzle and Mix 'Em Up Puzzle. There are also two VS game modes. You can either play against the CPU or against a friend using the wireless function of the PSP. You can have a VS Classic Puzzle, VS Ghost Puzzle, VS Colour Puzzle, VS Blind Puzzle, VS Running Launcher Puzzle, VS Time Warp Puzzle, VS Mix 'Em Up Puzzle or a VS Count Puzzle game. Of course all of these modes are just variations on the traditional Bust-A-Move game play but nevertheless all of the variations feel sufficiently different from each other to make them worthwhile.

There are certain games that push the limits of hardware and design convention in an attempt to create the next new sensation. Then, there are games like Bomberman, which has remained essentially unchanged for more than 20 years. Any complaints that Hudson's trademark franchise has become stagnant are invalidated by the simple fact that the basic Bomberman gameplay is still tons of fun after all these years. The most recent Bomberman game, for the PlayStation Portable, is proof positive that there's no need to mess with a proven formula.
There is a story to Bomberman, but you wouldn't know it by playing the game. Instead, Bomberman lets you play through 10 different-themed worlds, each with 10 stages. The levels vary noticeably in size and layout, but the setup is the same as it has always been in the Bomberman games.

Archibald’s Adventure PSP Mini is a surprisingly good platform game with a huge variety of obstacles and puzzles all in bite sized fun. From a technical stand point it’s a mini marvel, with its cute and colourful graphics and inventive game play, maybe one of the best examples of what can be achieved on the Minis platform.
Buying games from the PSP Minis range can feel like a lucky dip – for every great game like Archibald’s Adventure there are a dozen other half-baked darts games. The iPhone has proven that pocket money prices doesn’t necessarily equate to low production values and with careful selection you can also fill your PSP with games that can keep you and the kids entertained for hours and don’t break the bank.
Archibald’s Adventures, which is also available on PC and iPhone is a 2D puzzle platformer featuring a skateboarding hero attempting to escape a mad professor’s mansion. Spread across 191 levels Archibald encounters increasingly complex hazards as he attempts to get to each level’s exit.

The main game is pretty simple: you have a catapult and a lot of gung-ho kamikaze birds at your disposal. You have to aim these birds at pig fortresses and kill all the pigs on a level because they stole the birds’ eggs. Those pigs are evil. If that did not make much sense, this video will.
There are five types of birds available as you progress with various powers available to them. The birds’ launch order is pre-determined, so you have to use some strategic thought to get through many of the higher levels.
The game has been ported well into the PS system. The controls are rock solid (unlike wonky touch controls that were especially fidgety on my phone), and the gameplay is (for the most part) buttery smooth. There were lag issues when a lot of destruction happened on screen at the same time, especially when the blue birds hit ice barriers and the like. Although they were minor, I really hope they don’t spoil the fun later with the black birds (aka the bomb birds) and the flying chickens. The sound is crisp, just as expected.
